Each school year has 2 auditions:
One in September for the fall play and the other in January for the Spring Musical.
There will be a mandatory meeting for all cast and crew members a week before auditions.
Follow our Instagram @lelandhsdrama for more details on upcoming dates.
Auditions for Fall Play
Prepare a one-minute monologue
(depending on play it will be a dramatic, comedic, etc.)
**Preferably not from a movie - if you choose to do a movie monologue then you will be judged for quality of your OWN interpretation.
Auditions for Spring Musical
Vocal/Acting auditions - sing a song that lasts about 1-2 minutes. You will likely not sing the whole song but be prepared.
-
Bring a backing track that you can play off your phone or hook up to speaker. It is preferred that you sing a song from a musical, but you may choose something else that showcases your vocals and acting.
-
Nothing from the show itself is allowed
Dance auditions - wear comfortable clothes that you can move in and appropriate shoes (no Uggs, flip flops, etc.)

PLEASE NOTE:
By auditioning for the productions, you are officially signing up for the class.
DO NOT audition if you are not sure you want to be involved in productions and/or commitment it requires.
